Drill holes are handled a little differently to most other data. Rather than being read from the original files each time, drilling is imported into an internal drill hole database inside your project. This lets Spatial Integration draw large numbers of holes quickly, and lets it check the data as it comes in.
Working with drilling is a two step process. First you import your collar, survey and downhole tables into a drill group using the Drill Manager. Then you add that group to the scene and configure the visualisations that draw it – the collars and traces, and one or more downhole displays built from your logged data. You can add visualisations by right-clicking the drill layer.
- Drill Manager: Create drill groups, import collar, survey and downhole tables, and manage the drill database.
- Drillhole Display: Configure the collar and trace visualisations, and add downhole displays to a drill layer.
- Discs: Draw a stack of discs along each hole, coloured and sized from interval or point data.
- Graph: Plot a numeric downhole field as a graph running alongside the hole.
- Structure: Draw oriented discs showing the true orientation of structural measurements.
